Koyuki Tanaka is a bored 14-year-old with no social life and an embarrassingly safe taste in music. A chance meeting with guitarist Ryusuke Minami and his strange-looking dog changes everything. Koyuki picks up a guitar, discovers he can sing, and ends up in Beck, a band trying to make it in a music industry that does not care about them yet.
