Hinata and Kaoru are siblings from the family tasked with protecting their mountain village from Yamatagi Madara, a half-human half-snake curse god sealed in the western mountains. A storm destroys the fence. They wander in. Dara-san is terrifying in appearance, deeply offended that nobody is scared, and ends up with two kids who just want to be her friends.
